Question Arctic MX-6 vs TG Kryonaut Extreme

I used TG hydronaut for my laptop. Performance was good at first. But performance went worse after 4-5 months. I disassembled laptop and saw that thermal paste spread over edges. So there was little thermal paste on die. I found MX-6 and TG KE on aliexpress for about 10 bucks. But i m worried about will i get same problem with Kryonaut Extreme? What is your thoughts?

Hey there,

Some pastes suffer from pumpout effect with direct die heatsinks. Arctic MX5, Noctua NT-H1 are examples.

Pump out happens when after a good number or power cycles the paste degrades quickly and can cause performance degredation. Noctua NT-H2 has a higer viscosity. That's what I use for all of my laptops. 'Does what it says on the tin'. TG KE is pretty good too.

Don't know about Arctic MX6. I've not tried it.
