Arctic Silver 3 or Hyper 212 Evo thermal compound

I am going to be changing motherboards in the coming weeks and have the choice between using the thermal paste that comes with the Hyper 212 Evo again, or using some old Arctic Silver 3 I found hidden away.

Is the Arctic Silver 3 better?
Does it being old reduce the effectiveness?
Etc.

Any advice would be appreciated

Use the new one, should be better and you should see 2 - 3 celcius drop in temperature.
