[SOLVED] Arctic Silver 5 vs Stock thermal paste?

Hi everyone.

I've got a Corsair h100i Pro XT arriving sometime today for a future Ryzen 3rd gen build that I'm going to be doing sometime later this year, but as this is my first AIO I'm interested to know just how effective it is over my current air cooler on my Piledriver rig so I'm gonna chuck it in and see what temps I get. Plus seeing as I won't be building said PC till alter this year it won't hurt to check that the cooler actually works rather than find out a few months down the line.

That being said, I understand that these days the difference between most thermal compounds is negligible and stock thermal compounds are more than adequate (otherwise why else would they include it after all, ha ha), but nevertheless I'm interested to know your thoughts on how good the stock Corsair thermal compound is? I'll probably just hook it up with the stock compound applied and run a few tests then swap it out for the Arctic Silver 5 that I've got knocking around, purely out of interest. Ha ha.

Solution
The Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Paste is Perfectly fine But the Preapplied is also Okay. But if you want to Overclock it than only do it slightly As it will overheat. I would recommend Arctic MX-4
