Arctic Silver vs Arctic silver II

Has anyone here used Arctic silver 2 yet and why is it better, it comes in a 3g tube instead of 6.5g.

It's 99% silver- that's all. The old stuff was like 96% silver... i doubt there will be a noticable difference.

Actually the old one was 78-81% silver vs. new one 99%.

According to the company that makes Arctic Silver the one "optimized for small contact areas" was 96 or 97% silver.

OK Guys,

A.S.1 and A.S.2 are both made with silver particles that are 99.8% pure or better. A.S.1 was 78% to 84% silver content by weight. A.S.2 is 78% to 82% silver content by weight.

Thee is a lot more to the performance of a thermal compound than the percentage of the thermally conductive material.

A.S.2 offers some significant improvements in high temperature performance and viscosity consistency over a wide range of temperatures. A.S.2 also has an edge in thermal transfer and is more forgiving of less than ideal applications.
