Question Arctis 5 microphone not working

I have tried increasing microphone volume, I have made sure that my computer is set to the arctis 5 mic in sound setting, steelseries engine is up to date, I have made sure that I have the mic unmuted on my headset, but my microphone simply will not work and as a side not the lights won't work either even though I have them turned on

Steelseries Arctis 5 headset connects via USB or a 4-Pole 3.5mm using the included adapter. Which one are you using?
You mention a computer. Is this a laptop or a desktop?
