My headset constantly makes a popping sound throughout my daily use. I've never had this issue before. I owned a pre2019 arctis 7 on my old windows 7 desktop - no problems. I built a new pc running windows 10 with a 2019 arctis 7. I have replaced the arctis 7 2019 once with another new one and the popping sound was immediately present.
I have gone into device manager and uninstalled the device, uninstalled the steelseries SSE software, and rebooted and reinstalled the software and plugged in the devices - no luck. It is not the chat-mix wheel (commonly recommended on steelseries reddit) because it pops regardless of it's position. I have tried disabling "game" and listening to audio only via voice which seems to help.
The drivers it is using when viewing the audio device is Generic USB Audio. I can't seem to make it use other drivers.
I am going insane. I am very close to reinstalling windows 10. Please help.
