Hi, my HyperX cloud 2 headset just lost its microphone input due to a loose contact so I'm in the market for a new audio solution. I've been looking at all kinds of headphones and headsets. Currently my eyes are mainly set on either a SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC or a Beyerdynamic DT 990.
I'm leaning towards the arctis headset because it's a complete package (mic + DAC), but also because every reviewer says it's a good product for audiophiles.
However, I think most reviewers/journalists aren't trustworthy and normally the gaming headsets are overpriced and "falsely" marketed, but maybe this one is different? So I'd like to hear what an actual human being has to say about this. Is the arctis pro + gameDAC as good as audiophile headphones such as the DT 990?
