no , they are not "bad" for gaming , that is actually the standard. You can grab one of the 120 Mhz but you may not want or need it for the following reasons.
1. they cost significantly more than the ones around 60-70 Mhz.
2. you only really need 120 if you are going to go the 3D route

yes , great refresh rate , no worries there... but I feel obligated to add a bit more here for you to consider.. that moniter ihas an IPS panel. Which I would maybe grab if I were into serious video working of some sort. But for gaming , particularly FPS games , Id have to choose one with a TN panel instead.
Other things to look out for ;
that its 16x9 panel not something else.
Contrast ratios , don't sweat them too much seriously.
The human eye has a contrast ratio of over 1 million, when you consider what the dimmest light we can detect is versus the brightest light we can stand. But, if you were to go out in the bright sunlight, it would take at least a half hour for your eyes to adjust to a very dark room. So, the actual contrast ratio the human eye can resolve at any given time is actually more like 1000:1 to 1500:1. And, that means a TV with more than 2000:1 or so contrast ratio is really overkill.
in short , it's just marketing fluff basically on that note.
If you aren't an E-mail subscriber to NEWEGG , then you might want to become one , there are deals on great monitors constantly with bonus "coupons" in the E-mails. They send an E-mail everyday , so unless you are in the market for something , it does tend to start feeling like spam at some point...
next is the CD/candella/brightness , i prefer 250-300 ish which is great for lights on or off playing.
MS , or MS GTG I personally will not settle for a number bigger than a 5 there. would a 6 kill me , probably not but tha'ts just me.
next , off brand stuff ... Samsung for example makes a ton of panels that they dont actually use themselves for various reasons like they are a hair beneath their quality control specs. These extra panels get binned and sold off to other companies like Hanspree and such.
These are usually o.k. but plz use caution and read the small print and read the reviews.
Last thing you want is to save 5 bucks and end up with 7 dead pixels which would leave you 1 dead pixel shy of being able to return it in some cases.
