Are Acer prebuilt PCs upgradable?

I have a Acer Predator G6320, and am currently about to buy a new GPU. The problem is I keep seeing and hearing that Acer sort of changed the motherboard to not allow upgrades, and their BIOS isn't updated at all which would get through that. So any upgrade resulting in the PC not turning on or booting up all the way. While I am also seeing people say that, the upgrades work just fine...
Can any of you confirm that everything will work?
