I am building my first PC and have chosen the MSI Z97 PC MATE (http://www.msi.com/product/mb/Z97_PC_Mate.html#hero-specification) and am having trouble with a case. It says its 12" by 8.7" is this big? Can I buy any case that supports normal ATX? Would something like the Corsair Carbide Spec 3 (http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/carbide-series-spec-03-orange-led-mid-tower-gaming-case) be okay?
Thank you so much, this community has been really helpful

ATX is a motherboard formfactor specification defined by Intel. It requires specific placement of the back panel, expansion ports, mounting holes, and component clearance. Any ATX motherboard should fit in any case that supports the ATX formfactor.

For purposes of compatibility, ATX is a superset of microATX and E-ATX is a superset of ATX.
