Are all high video game settings the same?

Would a game on the highest settings be the same quality on any graphics card? Of course it would effect the fps, but would the actual quality look the same?

E.g. Skyrim on ultra, would it look the same regardless of what GPU?

Solution
A couple of FPs either way perhaps but no major difference I'd suspect, Unless you get a dodgy GPU and in that case there's always the return for a replacement option with most retailers.

If Skyrim for example detects you're capable of running the game on Ultra with 2 different GPU's I wouldn't expect to see much difference however it all depends on the vast array of cards.

If you put 2 budget cards up against eachother for example there shouldn't be a difference really.

However some budget cards can run skyrim on Ultra for example if you have the required CPU/RAM power too whereas a high end GPU will also run it on Ultra but may give a more fluid performance.

It's a tricky one.

But the quality of textures and things would be the same on the same setting levels between different cards?

Thanks :) I was just curious, rather new to PC components :')

In theory. There could be slight rendering differences between NVidia/AMD, driver version and card architecture but you would be unlikely to notice it.

You'd be hard pressed to notice a difference, Stick around the forums and you'll soon be a PC Wiz haha :)
