I am just asking if all power supplies are made with the same dimensions, or do they all fit inside a mid tower case? And do all of them have the cables needed for your motherboard, GPU, Drives, etc.?
Do not even think about it... Do not buy a cheap PSU, get a good PSU. If you want a good PSU that won't set your house on fire, then ask. The answer to your question is no. You cannot put any PSU in your case, it needs to match the form factor. ie, you cannot put a U1 PSU in a full size ATX case.
Not all psu are the same but the majority are universal to fit cases.. As for the power connectors required not all of them are made with the same amount of power connectors.

Doesn't seem like the OP is going to use a junk psu seems more like OP is asking to make sure they don't have to find a specific model/brand to fit their case exactly.
Not really but most power supplies come in standard ATX sizes which should fit in any mid tower to full tower case . There smaller power supplies for micro atx cases . Some more powerful power supplies are a little longer . They should have all your wires for everything you need unless you are doing sli or crossfire .
