I have recently endeavored to build my own personal gaming PC, being new to this field I wished to find some clarification as to whether this setup will work and fit. Also I wish to know whether the power supply shown has all the appropriate cables to power/plug into the motherboard, fans and GPU.
The parts are as follows-

Based on the parts you want to order I'm assuming your budget is around $800. If I'm correct then I would suggest something more like this:

I appreciate the help, but would love to go with the Intel I7 overclocked processor, but can you advise me as to what power supply I should get (also will take the GPU you have provided, will it fit in my case?), and can you tell me whether the power supply will have all the appropriate plugs for the motherboard and the GPU I have previously selected. I like the idea of taking that hard drive too and adding it to my setup (will it, again, fit with my motherboard and all appropriate plugs e.g sata cable.
The new adapted list-
I will still have the previously selected motherboard and CPU
I will still have the case previously selected
I shall take the GPU (XFX Radeon R9 290 4GB Black Edition Double Dissipation Video Card)
I shall take the hard drive (Hitachi Deskstar 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive)
I shall keep the same RAM as previously selected
Still at a loss as to which PSU I should use (will the one in your setup suffice?)

If you could tell me if all these components are compatible (Just a yes or a no) I would be extremely grateful.
I again thank you for your response and for your investment of time.
Definite best answer if you can give me a definitive yes or no (if no explain which parts are not and please can you provide alternatives to those specific parts IF they are not compatible)
Amazed at the response, you guys are great.

And thank you for your praise. It is a definite yes on the compatibility. It doesn't really matter what psu you use most of the time, almost all of them come with the necessary cables to hook everything up, and this XFX one that I suggested is no exception. It's not modular, which means that all of the plugs will come plugged in and you can't take them out of the psu, but it should have all of the cables necessary for ALL of the parts in your case, from your mobo to your gpu, to your HDD, and everything in between. The case is also compatible with all of the parts you want to use, including the ones that I suggested. There should be a spot for your SSD specifically according to the website about your case. The i7 and mobo you chose are great and should work just fine with the rest of these parts. So as long as you use the gpu, psu, and HDD that I suggested with the rest of the parts you want, everything will be compatible, and what you'll have as a result is an excellent gaming pc. So yes, it's a definite yes on compatibility. Enjoy your gaming pc, tell us how it all works out :)

Solution
Thanks for your response, will tell you when possible (how it went) but still need to save up for my build which should take around 6 months.
Great to know its all compatible and a bit of a relief!

Can I also ask whether the power supply has a UK adapter included or will I have to buy one (and if so will it impair performance). Not really worried about the cost of an adapter if its required.

Power Supply: XFX Core Edition 650W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($50.98 @ Newegg)

Hm, not really sure if the XFX psu would need an adapter or not. It shouldn't impair performance at all if it's a good adapter, so if you want to buy one just to make sure you can, or you can research the part to see if it takes the same voltage that your power outlets use. I'd look into it before buying the psu and plugging it in though, wouldn't want to destroy a perfectly good psu.

PSU doesn't affect system performance or will having a UK specific adapter. But why would you buy from a US store? I hear import fees into the UK are ridiculous.

Here's one that would be better suited for your uses: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/550w-evga-supernova-gs-psu-fully-modular-80plus-gold-45a-single-rail-sli-crossfirex-support-whisper-

I'm pretty sure that 550w would probably be enough, but if you still want to get the xfx one i suggested, here's a UK price:
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1650snlb9

There are some others worth checking out though if you want to look pcpartpicker.com to get a cheaper one. You could try finding a cheaper xfx one or a seasonic one.

This PSU seems to check all the boxes, has fantastic reliability reviews and is relatively inexpensive, will it be compatible with my case?

Sorry to extend this yet again just want to be sure there are no pitfalls in my setup.

No don't get the Nex, those are made by HEC which is a tier 3 or 4 vendor at best. You can't accurately review a PSU in a 4,000 character store review. That's impossible. The GS series are made by Seasonic which is much better quality than the Nex series.

So what PSU do you suggest?
Thanks.
P.S are you sure this PSU is not adequate as not a single user review on the site (Ebuyer) is negative? And It delivers enough power.
