Are Antec PSUs good for gaming?

I was looking at Corsair VS 650W PSU because I am on a budget but some reviews say that the VS series is bad and will give restart problems.

So I was looking over some other brands and some say that Sea Sonic is best but it's way over my budget.

So I want to ask if Antec PSUs are any good for gaming? Please help.

Hello. Anything on Indian market is overpriced. The Seasonic 620W costs $71 in US but in India it's $97.

i5 6500
8 GB DDR4

The VS series, now that I look at it, is quite ugly. The CX series got better efficiency than the VS. Well, not to the extent of "restart problems" like one said.

Or another option is to get the R9 380X instead of the GTX 970. That should give enough for a better PSU like the G2 750W.

Antec VPs are not the best but they gonna do the job. I'm using antec VP in one of my PCs, so far no issues with them.

But i advise you to get the 650w for a gtx 970 if you are going with VP.
Whole system will draw 450w of power at the most.

Tom's Hardware has a PSU tier list which you should look at; http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html.

PSUs from the same manufacturer don't mean equal quality. For example, the Corsair RM series is very good, but the CX series is very average. The same principle applies to Antec.
