Are Anti-Viruses Important?

Hi, i want to invest into buying a anti virus, but is it really worth it to get a virus? espically those that are not free, do they actually serve better than the free ones? thanks!

Not much. The main difference is functionality and no ads bugging you to upgrade. I would get avast free version if I were you. Its lightweight and works well.

an anti-virus is extremely important to a healthy pc, even to those of us who know how to be "safe" on the internet. things happen. however i would never pay for one. the free options are pretty good to be honest, especially if you're not looking for a forensics kit and just something to catch the stuff that slips past you. personally, i use avira. it serves me well.
