I'm thinking about doing my first computer build, I already have a Hp Pavilion that's about 3 years old at the time it cost me roughly £1700 so it wasn't cheap.
I just wondered if anyone could tell me whether or not Any of the parts inside are reusable to make a new rig!
I already have changed the gpu to a gtx750 ti. And I know I could do with a better psu however are any of the other parts any good such as the motherboard I know nothing about them as of yet!
Any way the full spec for my PC is linked below from HP's website:

Any comments would be appreciated.

Definitely save the 2TB, GTX750ti, Blu-Ray and possibly the TV tuner, if that was something you used.

Other than that, if you're going for a brand new setup, everything else is a few generations back. The i7 2600 is about on par with modern i5's now, and your motherboard is garbage and the RAM is a little outdated.

If I was in your spot, I would sell off everything you can besides the peripherals I mentioned above. There are plenty of people looking for older generation upgrades, so you could sell that i7 eventually.

You'd be fine with 8GB of RAM for now. In the next few years, you'll probably have to throw in another 8GB.

Asus and Gigabyte have been the top motherboard manufacturers for a while now. I've had both, and they haven't disappointed yet.

Are you going to be doing any overclocking?
