Only a fool would belive in this video made by crosair who sells psu-s and are taking big hits because of 5x cheaper psus than their cheapest psu. I can bet ALL OF YOU at one point used cheap psu. Did any explode or damaged anything ?
I had dozens of only the cheapest psu-s in many pc-s around the house, mostly LC POWER.
Only one died because i flipped pc case over with my foot, and didnt damage any other component.
And i'm pretty sure retailers would pull of those problematic psu-s of their shelves if they outright fail. Customers would complain and sellers would have more trouble than just not selling those models. Especially for local retailers with psyhical shops. They all have cheap psu selection.

That said.... i am buying 10 budget gaming pc-s for my gaming cafe. What are the cheapest PSU that in your opinion wont explode? I can't afford seasonic stuff or any tier 1/2/3 stuff. My builds are probably going to be amd apu (90w tdp cpu)

Goran there is a very simple explanation.Many people including me have sued cheap PSU and didn't blowed to them.But all of them was in systems without a demanding graphic card with .Sure these crappy PSUs can deliver MAYBE 200 real Watts top ,and because a simple system without a graphics card (or a low end GPU) has very low wattage requiements ,they just work.They do not supply quality voltages or protection ,and is really easy to burn your system in case of a storm or electrical instability.
A quality PSU will not fuck your expensive GPU either.I underrtand the cost and for years I was using the cheapest psu I could get.Now I'm using tier 1 or 2 corsair.4 months ago I upgraded my GPU to some very demanding one .
No worries for me So ,it is an investment really.
