Are B150 chipset motherboards good for gaming?

So im planning on getting a new motherboard and a new processor at the same time. I thought id choose an i5-6500. But then when i was looking at the motherboard things got kinda complicated. I went through each socket and B150 motherboards had everything i pretty much needed and they werent that expensive. My only worry is that will it handle heavy gaming or other heavy tasks.

A B150 motherboard will be fine for gaming.

Rarely is a motherboard the limiting factor in a gaming PC. The reason you'd step up to an H-series or Z-series is more capability - more fan headers, more PCIe slots, overclocking ability (in the Z-series boards), etc.

Choose the board that fits your needs and your budget.

Yes the B150 is a great match for an i5 6500. I've used B motherboards a lot throughout the years.
