Are backplates worth it?

I want to buy a gpu backplate like one from V1 Tech but is there any actual benefit to having one?

One benefit which I have seen is the dust wont touch the silicon of the GPU. A dusty GPU is more prone to heating. Also its easier to clean the dust off the backplate.

V1 Tech backplates dont really offer much aside from looks.
Manufacturer backplates provide some stability to cards, but theirs are only attached magnetically.
