Hello, I just purchased an HX1000 platinum psu to better complement my 9700k OC and 3090 Strix OC, replacing the RM750x

My question is, are the cables from the RM750x interchangeable with the HX1000? From looking into this it seems that they both use Corsair type 4 cables. I have a couple of custom EPS cables used with the RM750x which I'd like to continue to use.

Thanks!

Here is Corsair's cable compatibility chart.

The HX (Platinum) and RMx series appear to use the same
  • Type 4 - 24-pin ATX
  • Type 4 - 8pin EPS12v
  • Type 4- PCIe
  • Type 3 - 8pin EPS12v
  • Type 3 - PCIe
  • Type 3 - PATA/SATA

Really for most full modular series. It seems the main difference is a Type 3 or Type 4 24 pin connector. But the two models you listed appear to use the exact same cables.

Although it never hurts to double check with a multimeter.
