I personally dislike curved HDTVs simply because small HDTVs don't really benefit much from it and larger ones while they do benefit from it, larger HDTVs are usually meant for multiple people to watch. This is where it becomes a problem as people that are away from the center of the TV starts getting a somewhat distorted view which I think is just bad. That and it can't be mounted without looking weird.

Okay with that said, curved gaming monitor considering how close we are sitting next to our monitors, I can see the logic of how the curved can help make it more immersive by closing in the sides into your vision. Since monitors are generally a one person thing as well I don't see it being a problem for others watching it from the sides. Anyways are these monitors worth it? So far it seems logical to get it but does anyone have personal experiences that you can share? I'm thinking of getting rid of my second monitor simply because my new desk doesn't support the second monitor properly(meaning neither monitors can be in the center).

Thinking of getting a curved 34" 75hz+ monitor with 5ms or less atm(with a GTX 980 TI card). Anyways, thanks for reading!

34" is a big bit for a computer monitor, but I guess it´s ok since it´s curved.

In my experience it´s individual how people react. Some people hate them, some people (like me) like the design but don´t notice much difference, and some people absolutely love them

The thing is that curved screens have a "sweet spot" which I think you are aware off. This means they are better as gaming monitors than tv monitor used for more people.

I've worked on a PC with a curved screen for something like 4-5 hours. By worked I mean played and browsed. No difference spotted. Viewing angles weren't better, no vision advantage whatsoever. If you want better picture just get an IPS screen. Unless you are looking at a 34" monitor from extremely close (which you should not be doing for obvious reasons) then the curved screen will be nothing more than an additional price tag.
