Are DDR2 PC2-6400 240 Pin modules for AMD Compatible with Intel?

Hi, Are DDR2 (800Mhz PC2-6400 240 Pin) Desktop Memory Modules on ebay for example like this one :>> ebay << "titled AMD", work with Intel Gigabyte motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R?

Also the processor is Core 2 Quad Q9650.

Yes, that mobo is compatible with DDR2 ram and should work.

That's likely high density and is not supported by your old Intel chipset. The older AMD cpus and chipset did support them which is why they are label AMD only.

The few 4Gb dimms that were Intel compatible are rather spending($60+) when you can find them.

Ok I understand now, higher density RAM are made with different chips on the PCB, with different word size.
