[SOLVED] Are delided cpu's ok to buy?

I am looking for a I7 8700k, when I go on ebay all of them have been delided and the normal ones actually cost more. Is buying a delided cpu safe to buy or should I go away from them? I know its suppost bring cooler temps but are they safe to buy?

Not worth te risk in my opinion. If you delided a CPU it comes with a great risk maby those sold cheaper on ebay are damaged or even wont work.

I sold my delided i7-7700k on ebay for $299, it sold in an hour. I know mine worked as I was just upgrading my system for Black Friday.


Yes, vendors sell Delided and charge more for the service and performance.
On ebay, they are used and unknown quality. I would only buy used on ebay with return and good ratings one the seller.
