Are DirectCanada and NCIX related in any way?

I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY starting to think these two retailers are pretty much "the same". Ok, let me give you what I found so similar through experience as well.

I've ordered a graphics card from DirectCanada and then a headset from NCIX. Ok now here's the first weird thing. DirectCanada was sending my GPU from an NCIX warehouse in an NCIX box. That NCIX logo taped all over the box made me think...whaaa????

Secondly, the way their customer service works is pretty much identical. Except NCIX just has the better side of it. When you call, the standby music, the menu, and overall style of by-phone customer support is THE SAME. What's up with that? I mean is it the same reps working for both companies? Or are they just copying each other?

Third, the company HQs are both located in Richmond, BC. If that's a bit of extra stuff. But overall, it's like if I didn't know what companies these two were when buying, it would almost seem like the same company.

Relations anybody? Because I've researched and found nothing.

NCIX has about a half dozen locations in Richmond, and plenty more around BC itself. Not exactly out of the question for companies to come from the same city, particularly when the city is one of the largest and most populated cities in the area. Customer service is frequently outsourced by many companies, or at the very least they are set up using a similar template. Those call centers all sound the same to me, regardless of company or industry.

I'm not familiar with the two companies, but the more likely scenario is that DirectCanada partners directly with NCIX as a reseller, since NCIX does have a B2B side. NCIX supplies the merchandise, DirectCanada helps them sell it, the order gets relayed to NCIX who then ships it out from...

NCIX supplies the merchandise, DirectCanada helps them sell it, the order gets relayed to NCIX who then ships it out from their facilities. Makes sense to me. Not all resellers are big enough to have their own branded boxes, a la Amazon.
