I am currently using a Zalman CNPS7X for my AMD FX-4170, and since I am interested in overclocking, I thought maybe downdraft coolers might help me with my overclocks. I was looking at the Noctua NH-C14S, BeQuiet! TopFlow and the Dark Rock TF to cool the VRM's on my GA-970A-UD3P. Are these coolers good for my purpose?
Something tells me that these may not work as good as adding a small fan or using a RAM cooler to cool the VRM heatsink directly, because you are basically pushing the air dissipated by the CPU heatsink onto the VRM's. What do you guys think?
