Hi

One of the harddisks was giving an error in our server (IBM X3650 M4) with RAID5 array.

So I want to replace it with a new one.

If I order same harddrive model with a different FRU number, Would it be a problem for RAID5 system.

Faulty Harddrive : IBM 146 GB model: ST9146853SS FRU Number:90Y8927

New Harddisk (will be ordered) : IBM 146 GB model: ST9146853SS FRU number: 42D0677

Welcome to the Forums :D

the FRU is useful, but not right now. its just confusing you unnecessarily.
"The FRU number indicates the IBM specified replacement part, but sometimes two identical parts can have different FRU numbers. "

same part, differing FRU. you are good .
