Are intel at it again?

my friend uses the "INTEL SPONSERED" united devices software, designed to find a cure for cancer. It has a built in system comparison. It claims that an Athlon 1200 266fsb 256Mb 133 is 79% as fast as a P4 1.5G. I've never heard such a low rating before. Do you think Intel are at it?

so that's why they did this. money again. they want more money, they are cheap and it's just another P4 marketing scam. Maybe they meant clockspeed? LOL

They have their reason in claiming such ratings.

For one thing, 1200MHz is only 80% of the 1.5GHz - approximating the 79%. For another, Intel tries to adjust the memory factor: RDRAM must be the BEST.

Damn it. I hate Intel.

Prob SSE optimised. Athlons don't have this, PIII + P4 does. The cookie designers obviously couldn't bear the thought of their software running on other platforms than their employers shiney new P3s.
