Are loud fans a big deal?

This is my first gaming build and it was just built a week ago.

To take in-game screenshots I would set my game to ultra settings, implant a third-party mod that adds more focus and detail to textures, and also raise my NVIDIA Control Panel settings. This is only for in-game screenshots, not constant gaming. My GPU would get up to about 75C (according to forums online) which isn't so bad for my EVGA GTX 770 but to stay on the safe side, I downloaded EVGA Precision X and changed the fan curve so that it would run 85% by 75c. I noticed that my fans got louder but the temperature shot down several degrees so it definitely kept my graphics card cooler. Only my graphic card gets hotter, everything else including the processor stays at a safe level.

My question is: are loud fans a problem? Am I wearing out my fans by forcing it to run faster even at lower temperatures? The sound only bothers me because I'm used to thinking that louder fans are a sign of a overheating laptop but not in this case since (according to forums online) 75c isn't so bad at full load for my desktop.

Extra details: I'm planning to buy extra case fans for my top panel to let more heat escape. At constant gameplay, it's still on ultra settings but no mods to enforce the detail and my NVIDIA Control Panel is restored to default mode. It runs at 60c so that's nice.

Solution
70C isnt bad at all.

On graphics cards, noise is only a measure of how irritated you can get by them. They can run at 100% for their entire span, and not degrade or harm anything. If they werent meant to run at those speeds, you wouldnt be able to set them that high.
