Question Are microsoft 365 applications different from every account?

I have downloaded microsoft 365 using my work account. I already have a personal account, i noticed that the my work email account are already on the pop up login when i open the word app of microsoft 365. Is it ok to use my personal account on the installed ms 365 downloaded from my work account? Are my files safe or will it affect personal documents privacy and i should download and reinstall ms 365 application using my personal account? Just wondering if my work organization can see or access my personal files if i use the MS 365 app downloaded using my work account.

Its not really the applications, its more your logon that contains all the files. The files you see match the logon.

I don't think you could have two copies of same program on PC, one likely overwrite the other.

Does it means it is safe to just change the logged in account which is my work account to my personal account and reinstalling a new 365 from my account is not necessary?

Its not about different installs of Office or Office365, but rather your Windows account and the syncing.

all you need to do is swap the logon name to access its files, no need to have applications twice. the logon and password protect access.
