Are monitor and desktop power leads compatible?

I recently bought a new monitor and desktop and have swapped the monitor and desktop power leads...
They both say 10A 250V on them, they have different logos on them but nothing to indicate whether it is for a monitor or desktop, they both fit into either of the desktop or monitor power ports.
Is there anyway of telling which one is for which or doesn't it matter?
btw I'm from the UK
THANKS

This is the monitor: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00MCX4Q2G/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d1_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0PYNB6P2YZ76QDKTQPE8&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=455333147&pf_rd_i=468294
This is the desktop:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lenovo-Erazer-Tower-Desktop-Black/dp/B00LM9T8EM/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1430157755&sr=1-1&keywords=LENOVO+X510
Would that be okay if these shared power leads? The monitor cable is UK and in not sure of the Lenovo cable (probs USA, but maybe UK too).

It would work out just fine!
