Are my CPU tems too high

Well I'm using a 3770k to do some heavy rendering on c4d and the temps are around 70-76 c. Is this too high especially if it is going to remain at this load for 2-3 hours. I am using an akasa venom voodoo heat sink with only 1 fan installed. Is it safe to leave it at high load for this amount of time.

That sounds a little warm for a 3770K, I'd try to keep things south of 70 degrees C. Given the size of that cooler, you should have plenty of capacity to cool that. Try adjusting fan speeds or installing the second fan. What's you idle temp BTW?

OK, so your idle's within spec. Your motherboard may not be ramping up the fan speed fast enough to keep up. Make sure you've got plenty of cool air coming in the front of your case and plenty of hot air leaving the back of the case. If you've got airflow you should be quite frosty with that cooler.

second fan cannot be installed because of the ram's height so this is being used as exhaust. There is one intake fan on the front. Is my cpu dying

That's it! You need to *force* air through the front to push it through the little fins. Without the fan on the front you'll have to compensate by cranking up the fan speed. You're CPU shouldn't be to bothered with the temp, but go ahead and give it a big twist of fan RPM.
