Hey guys

My idle temperatures are 38-40 celsius and ~60 degrees under prime95 tests.

my system info is:
mugen 2 heatsink
intel i7 920 D0 stepping
gigabyte ud3r
cpu voltage: 1.31 volts
qpi: 1.3
hyperthreading disabled

My idle seems a bit high but I thought I'd check with you guys.

Yes they are normal, and depending on ambient temps and airflow inside your case. I currently have the same setup with mine clocked at 3.2ghz with the voltages at 1.2 volts with HT enabled and turbo on running a EL WU, with my temps reaching 68'C under heavy load being cooled by a CoolerMaster Hyper N520 hsf.

Thanks for the response kg4icg

I have a HAF 922, with the stock 240mm and a 240mm on the side and a scythe ultra kaze blowing in, and 2 slipstreams and an ultra kaze blowing out. Ambient is ~23. My load temps seem very good but more opinion on the idle please!

Test Setup
* Case covers open
* All fans 100% RPM
* High-end air cooling
* Standard Ambient 22c

i7 9xx @ stock - Idle - Task Manager < 1% usage 10 minutes
Low temps:
CPU 25c
Core 29c

i7 9xx @ overclocked - Load - Prime95 Small FFT's 10 minutes
High limits:
CPU 68c
Core 73c
Vcore 1.375

Core temperatures are "mean" or average values.

I'm in the same boat. Been running Prime95 for an hour. The temperatures were the max of any of the 4 cores for both idle and full load. I made sure to have HT on and 8 threads going in Prime95.

i7 920 @ 3.6 (D0)
Mugen 2 (AS5)
Asus P6T Deluxe V2
BLCK 180 x 20
Vcore 1.2
QPI/DRAM 1.2

100% Load on 8 cores: 62c
Idle: 40c
Ambient: 21c (70f)

I'm assuming it's within range. I hope it helps provide some sort of comparison.

Your voltages seem really good for 3.6ghz. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get stable results lowering the voltage anything below 1.3 for vcore. Oh well it's still tons below maximum voltage recommended so I guess i'm good
