So i bought a MSI Katana GF66 11Ue with i5-11400H + RTX 3060
Idle Cpu temp is at 50-70c sometimes hitting 80c
Idle Gpu temp is 45-60c
My room is fairly cool as i use air condition
Lowest fan rpm is at 2000-2500
are these temps normal? should i be worried?

Is this laptop you've purchased used or brand new? If used, then no the temps seem to be high when idle. If it's brand new, I'd run a couple of things to rule out the laptop having issues.
1| If you're on Windows 10/11, open up Task Manager>Performances while also keeping an eye on Processes and see what your resource usages look like when idling.
2| Tax the laptop with a game and see what the max temps go up to. If you're not using HWMonitor, now's a good time to do so.
3| See if the laptop is pending any BIOS updates.

If the laptop was bought used, then it's a good idea to disassemble the laptop and inspect the cooling fins for dirt/debris. You might also want to replace the thermal paste to see if that improves temps. Inspect the fan as well for any build up of dirt.

So I bought a MSI GF66 Katana 11UE (I5-11400H + RTX 3060) last month and for the first few days of gaming, cpu and gpu temps will only be at 70-80c. Last week i downloaded dying light 1 because of the huge discount. After playing for 1-2 hours, the cpu temps is staying at 95c and will sometimes go to 100c. Gpu temps are kinda normal at 70-89c. Whats confusing is when i try to alt tab (using an external monitor as a second monitor) cpu temps instantly drops. Also fps wasnt even affected the whole time i was playing. Now every game i play even valorant, the cpu reaches 94c but with a normal gpu temp.

Also, idle temps for cpu and gpu are 40-50c.
Are these temps normal? i only do gaming and browsing, i have a mediocre cooling pad and my laptop is still really new.
