Are my Monitors incompatible with each other?

Hello! I just recently added a new monitor to my pc setup and I've been running into some issues. Now first off, the monitor I have is an old one, a dell. The colors are gross and the aspect ratio is laughable, but it's good for multitasking.

Here's the problem: Everytime I have my 2nd monitor plugged in, this happens. http://i.imgur.com/AOhejtm.jpg

My main monitor gets squashed, but then when I unplug the monitor, my main monitor is fixed.

My main monitor is using a normal VGA cable while my other monitor is using a VGA to HDMI. could that be an issue? Or is the fact I'm using different aspect ratios. If that's the case why isn't my cintiq messing my monitor up? it's the same as the 2nd monitor.

My specs.

The generic Non PnP monitor is the AOC, but I guess my computer doesn't read it as the AOC. I should've included the Cintiq in the picture but it's on the left of AOC. The Cintiq and AOC alone don't cause problems. With the Dell Added, the Cintiq is fine while the AOC gets all warped.

The Cintiq is using a AVI to USB converter

And no way to connect on of the monitors digitally (hdmi, dvi or dp) ? It might be the hdmi-to-vga converter. Most of them don't work very well, but that can't be the only reason.
But back to the basics: if it's messed up, can you change the resolution to the right aspect ratio or not ?

Woops didn't mean to click the solution button. Non of my monitors have hdmi and my Graphics card only has AVi and HDMI so I had to get converters to make them work
