Are my PC parts compatible

Yeah they are, I'd strongly advise getting a cpu cooler though, the stock ones aren't exactly very good, May I suggest zalman coolers?

Also this is out of personal preference, but I'd suggest windows 7 as an os and windows 8 has a lot of issues and bloatware.

Ok ill go for a cpu cooler but im sticking with win 8 as ive used it since it came out on my old pc and it worked perfectly fine then.

i think that would do the job just fine but as for air cooler you cant do high overclock

I honestly wouldn't bother with an aftermarket cooler. The processor you are buying isn't the unlocked multiplier version so you won't be overclocking anyway. The stock cooler will do fine for that processor at stock speeds.

To be honest living in aus it will probably need a better cooler plus an extra $20 or so won't hurt

Well that cooler really isn't all that much better than the stock cooler. If you want something on air that can drop your temps and also is much quieter I would go for the Hyper 212.
