So, I'm kind of new to building a PC, and I have spent a long time picking parts to use, and have came up with what seems to be the best build for my budget. But before I go and buy all of the parts, are they all compatible, and does it all fit into the case I've chosen? I am pretty sure that they are, but as I am sure that you can understand I don't want to waste money. The build is:
CPU: AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core

GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II OC

Mobo: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 Motherboard

RAM: Crucial BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00CEU Sport 8GB Kit (4GBx2), Ballistix 240-pin DIMM, DDR3 PC3-12800 Memory Module

PSU:Corsair Builder Series CXM 500W Modular

Case: Antec One Midi Tower

Extra Cooling: Corsair CO-9050006-WW Air Series SP120 Quiet Edition 120mm

Thanks a lot in advance I know that it is a big ask but I don't want to just put hard earned money down the drain!

The Motherboard and CPU are definitely compatible. See Asus' page here if you want to check.

The RAM seems good, it's DDR3 so no issues.

The only thing I might wonder about, can you afford to upgrade to a GTX 700 series card? They are a year or two newer, so the 760 is much stronger than the 660.

Hope some of this helps.

Thanks for the reply, I have never even considered buying a 700 series card, I assumed that they would be double the price of a 600 series. But considering that the 760 is only £20 more expensive I don't think there is any reason to buy the 660. Would I have to buy any extra PSU connectors or increase the wattage of my PSU? Is it still compatible with the Mobo?

Thanks for your help.

You should be fine for all your compatibility. The psu should have the cables required and the motherboard won't be a problem. I'm not sure about the wattage. I was guess it would be alright but you may want to ask that as a separate question on here to be sure.
