hi so i brought a custom built pc about 3 days ago and just started playing battlefield 1 at 4k, 120fps max settings and i noticed my case getting warm, i then monitored my temps, this recording is from about 40mins of battlefield 1 at the above settings

it should be noted that im in the uk and its currently quite hot its 26/27 degrees in the room the pc is in

ok i'll give a test with that software, i think the card itself is designed to stay at that temp as my titan x before it also got to that temp and stayed there, i can get it down to about 71 with 100% fan speed

yeah, all looks fine in HWinfo, cpu maxs out below 70c, same with GPU. Anything below 80c is of no concern.
It'd be hard/expensive to try and lower those temps, and since it's summer there isn't really even any need to.

ok thats good to know, what fan curve do you think i should use? as the default the fan doesnt even turn on until 60 degrees do you think its better to put fans up high when the temps are at 75/80? as the benchmark and refrence show the card at 84 degrees and doesnt get higher than that, im not too used to pc's yet so sorry for stupid sounding questions

right ok, i dont care about noise at all as my headphones block 90% of sound except pc, is there a negative to having a higher fan speed to cool the pc down?

Using a game as benchmarking for temps. aint the best solution if you wanna be sure about your hardware.

But the temperatures are fine - As we say in Danish: No cow on the ice...

everyones seem to be at 80-84 degrees whilst gaming, guess it doesnt help that the default fan curve has the fan off until 60 degrees (takes the fan to 50%) and then once it hits 90 degrees the fan goes to 100% i'll monitor it with my custom fan curve to see what it maxes at

i also have my idle fan at 20% and the card is now at 28/9 degrees with the default it was 35-40 degrees which is what the reviewers got

ok so i now have my fans at 100% when the card hits 70degrees my card now sits at 66-70degrees and all my cpu temps are below 40 degrees, high fan speed wont damage my card right?
