Hello, i'm wondering if my specs will be compatible with a GTX 1080 TI that I may purchase soon.

Here are my specs:

Motherboard ASUS M5A97 R2.0 -- AMD 970 w/ 2x PCIe x16, 2x USB 3.0, 6x USB 2.0
Video Card AMD Radeon R7 260X - 2GB
Processor AMD FX-4300 CPU (4x 3.80GHz/4MB L2 Cache)

I believe these are the specs needed, im not really too sure but this is what is listed on the website from where I bought the computer. If needed here is the rest: https://gyazo.com/f1d82d59d07918dc0cc0e02b22ad1504

I'm not too good with computer hardware and stuff just trying to upgrade my computer to be better. So if anyone knows if the GTX 1080 TI would be compatible please let me know.

Solution
Your CPU will limit your SEVERELY! You would be better off keeping your AMD graphics card and spending the 1080ti money on a new motherboard, CPU and RAM.

Don't forget there is no way a generic whatever ibuypower put in there 400w psu is going to power a 1080ti system.

Yeah, if you like AMD then get a R5 1600 and 16GB of DDR4 with an MSI motherboard, and a Corsair CX600.

If you want to try Intel, get an i5 7600K, AsRock Z270 Pro4, and 16GB of DDR4, and a Corsair CX600.

I used to have a CX600, for 4 years, and I friggin loved it. It was fantastic.

I recommend you go for the next gen. A ryzen 2600 + 400 series motherboard and ddr4 or an intel 8400 + 300 series motherboard + ddr4.

A good psu that is budgetfriendly would be a seasonic focus plus 550w.

That's going to be way too expensive. A new 1080Ti runs around 600 to 800 bucks depending on where you get it from. i could build a PC that plays every single game at 1080p Ultra for the same price as a 1080Ti.
