I am currently running an AMD FX 4300, which will soon be upgraded, and a nvidia geforce 970 GTX. The CPU is running about 35 or so degrees Celsius, and the 970 is running about 50, under load. is this hot? I think its about ideal but still much warmer than im accustomed to, so i figure i'd ask

Solution
35c = 95f (50c = 122f) In general you should consider 60 degrees Celcius the absolute maximum for long periods, but aim for 45-50 degrees to be safe.

You can check the specifications of your particular CPU at www.cpu-world.com which details the maximum operating temperature for many processors
