[SOLVED] Are NAS branded HDDs only really good for NAS usage?

Hi, I've been told that I should avoid NAS drives for a backup drive that would be going inside of my PC. I've been told NAS drives are prone to failure from the on and off cycles associated from using them in a PC. I wanted to use 2x 4TB Drives(CMR) for a backup for larger media files only accessed by this PC. I'm just hoping this isn't true.

Unless they can give specifics as to 'why'...its just people spewing nonsense..
