Are net books even a thing anymore?

Been hunting around for a decent net book, for my needs, reformatting it to linux once I get it.I'm willing to to buy used, but I really want one with 2-4gigs of ram or one without soldered on modules. Just not sure if it is possible to get a decent one that isn't a tablet anymore. I will mostly use it for presentations/light security work through linux. Already found a nice laptop that I just bought, but I am in need of something small like a netbook, not a hybrid.

Well, they are still around, and to say if they are still a 'thing' is not 100% yes or 100% no answer, they are still around but just not as common anymore (tables have taken the majority of their place). I once was looking for a netbook with windows 7 on it, but they were just to difficult to obtain, I just went with a tablet, but lets keep exploring shall we? Try Checking Ebay, Craigs list, Amazon, Newegg etc for used (if possible, new) netbooks. Even a small laptop will work, just look at the size (WxLxH) and see if its small enough. I have found a few netbooks you might like (assuming color and looks don't matter and assuming you live in the US, but if you don't, take my advice in the region you live in still)

After looking on Amazon, there are ALOT more netbooks then before, but, a lot of them are high priced and are a bit big (12+ inch screen). well, good luck finding your netbook, I can help you pick one, but for now. this is what I supplied at the moment.
