Are Quadros and Fire Pros even relevant anymore?

I was looking at Gaming, 3D/2D rendering, video Rendering benchmarks and I saw that the even the original Titan(not the Titan black) beat the Quadro k6000 about %80 of the time and then when we moved up to the Titan X, it beat the k6000 in every test. The Titan X even has more Vram too, I even went to look at the 970s performance in the same exact tests and the k6000 only won, one time. I tested the fire pro w9100 and got the same results. whats the point of the Quadro(and firepros)? it costs 5x more and performs worse than the Original Titan

the quadro k6000 is irrelevent anymore, because the M6000 is out. it has the same performance as a Titan X, but it has MUCH better double precision performance.
they are not relevent in terms of gaming, but for 3d rendering, they are still the best options out there if you have no budget.

Comes down to better double precision and ECC ram. If you are rendering a 3D video of a cat, meh, a lot of cards can do that. If you are designing the space shuttle or an artifical heart machine in CAD, you don't want round errors or memory errors to put a number a bit off. 0.000001 of an inch is a big deal in a lot of things.

ooohhhhh, I am a dumb@$$ I thought the m6000 was the mobile version of the k6000

oh lol, the K in K6000 means Kepler and the M in M6000 stands for Maxwell.
just so you know, the M4000 and the M5000 (which are GM204 based quadros) are expected to come out sometime soon, so keep your eyes open.

OMG, that makes sense, sorry my bad. also i am not interested in buying one, I was just curious. thanks for the reply btw.

thanks, its always nice to see these threads that talk about stuff that doesnt really come by very often, like this.
