I am building a Ryzen PC with a 1700 and X370 gaming carbon motherboard. Most of the store in my country only do Intel builds, so I wonder if the same DIMMs will work for my build. Thank you.
Generally yes, all DDR4 work both with new Intel builds as well as Ryzen builds. But, Ryzen is much more picky about RAM then Intel CPUs. It is best to select RAM that is on motherboard's QVL to make sure it will run with Ryzen, and even then it often runs at slower speeds then what such RAM is capable in Intel build.

Yes they are minor differences, most problems appear when you go to higher clocks. Most errors are exactly lock on lowest clocks. https://www.amd.com/system/files/2017-06/am4-motherboard-memory-support-list-en_0.pdf
here is a list of 100% sure compatibility. other parts will work, but high chance it will lock itself @ 2133, low chance of OS not detecting it.
