[SOLVED] Are SATA-3 ports going away?

I’m looking into a new gaming build, and I’m finding I have to be careful that these SATA3 did you have the riding ports are missing. It this just on very high end gaming rigs?

what do you mean going away?
different mobo have different spec. always check spec

At some point, SATA III will likely go away, but, I'd be surprised if that occurred even in the next 5-10 years, frankly...(550 MB/sec transfer speeds still plenty adequate for all spinning drives)
