I've been poking around in other forums and looking at temps with the stock cooler for the cpu I have, Phenom ii x4 965. Most say there at 35-40+ celsius on idle, around 55 to 60 on full load. My temps are 28 celsius on idle, it still stays at 28 with multiple windows open and watching youtube videos, somtimes jumping to 29 or 30. At full load, I get a max of 40 celsius. What do you guys thing? Is it normal?

That's definitely pretty low, but that's also definitely not a bad thing hah. Have you tried other programs to monitor temperatures? Like CoreTemp? You can always check those if you really want to know if it's incorrect or true.

The Phenom ll stock coolers are built better than most. I'm honestly not too surprised by your results, although temps will go up after more dust gets jammed into the fins.

In case you don't know what stock cooelrs look like here are some.
