Im coming from SLi 560ti 2GB my friend dealt with amd before with crossfire 6950's. He said the drivers were horrible to deal with and he switched to Nvidia. To be honest I could've went with Nvidia as well But the value of the SAPPHIRE Vapor-X HD 7970 Ghz 3GB was to good to pass up. So my question is the drivers for AMD any better since then?

It's really more of a side grade as far as FPS. If you overclock the 7970 it should end up ahead. You can chase.down some benches I'm sure. HOWEVER there are certainly good reasons too. It should be smoother. More memory and memory bandwidth. More future proof. And with crysis 3 and bioshock infinity free(if you want them), plus what you can get for selling the 560Tis, the cost about balances out. You might even come out ahead depending on the model. I wouldn't hesitate.

ya i dont get why so many complain of drivers.Sure crossfire has some issues but so does sli.Ive probably owned as many 7950's and 7970's as anyone on here and never ever had a problem with single card config.I had problems in crossfire with farcry 3 which is a known issue.

Good choice man you will love it.

AMDs 6950 drivers were fine. I had zero issues. The whole AMD driver thing is a myth. Crossfire and SLI will always have issues with new games.

AMDs drivers have IMPROVED but were never horrible, and the 7970 is an awesome card with great drivers, beats nvidia on price performance, the sapphire vaporx is one of the top ones, and then there's crysis 3 and bioshock infinity free.

That being said a 7970 at stock is not a huge upgrade over 560Ti SLI. Other than being one card and less heat/power

Its a huge stepup simply because you will get high framerates in every game and not have to deal with sli issues.
