I've bought an MSI 1060 GAMING X like 2 days ago, and I forgot to check the pin connectors that it needs.

As far as I know, the 1060 needs 8 pin connectors, my current PSU is an EVGA 500W and it runs perfectly fine with a 750 Ti. As far as I know the 750 Ti has 6+2 pin connectors, so the 6+2 will work with an 8, correct? When it comes to connectors I'm really dumb idk why haha. But I'm pretty sure it's correct? I just thought I'd ask just in case, my graphics card is meant to arrive tomorrow and if the connectors ain't right then I'd buy a new PSU today. No way in hell am I going to use a converter.

Solution
Just an FYI, the extra 2 pins (+2) are just additional grounds. It allows the cable to handle more current from the 12V supply without the risk of the wires heating up.
