I'd have to see some actual facts on that.
People say a lot of things, totally unjustified.

If you were to ask him, he would say: "I heard it from blah de blah"
And on an on....urban legends grow and grow.

But if you have air bubbles, you did not apply the thermal paste correctly.

A properly installed cooler will have many pounds of pressure pushing down on the top of the CPU. It is unlikely you will have anything "pop". Could you have a void? Sure. But that would be poor preparation on your part.

What is a void?

Could you tell me if I have a void if I reseated the heatsink for my CPU 3 or 4 times during installation and a couple hours later?

The thermal compound was spread evenly last time I saw it on the CPU.

My temps are max 66C under load.

You clamped the cooler down, and then removed it....several times.
You NEED to take it off again, clean, and apply it properly.
(as you were informed in the other thread)

It will not "explode". It will, however, give less then best results.

This is because I checked my CPU temps when playing games like Warzone and Rainbow Six Siege, and compared it to other CPU temps with SAME cooler and there is only a 2-3C difference.

I don't see why I need to change if there is little difference between my installation process and a perfect installation. But you are the expert so correct me if I am wrong please.

It isn't about the time, I am reluctant to change it due to this issue:

I upgraded my pc by installing a cooler master and set everything up. It worked fine but I had a doubt if my cooler was screwed in evenly so I opened it up again, removed ram sticks and cooler, and lightly wiped off excess thermal paste. Reinstalled cooler much more tighter and ram sticks. Now...

Edit if your temps are fine then your choice but nothing is going to explode.

To much pressure can do just what happened to him.
Their some people that should get help building a PC.

I've seen posts where the ram would not go in so they forced it and then no boot come to find out he forced DDR3 in the board that took DDR4.

That guy is me xD.
And it isn't my build it was only a prebuilt I was upgrading the cooler for.

I will change it soon, how much should I screw the cooler ?
