I have an unused ram stick that is ddr3 and I need a ddr stick for one build, any chance there is some adapter that lets me use the ddr3 one ?

If you were going to buy an adapter, why not just buy a module? DDR 400Mhz is dirt cheap, an adapter would likely cost double. Can you post the DDR modules model number?
