I am a college student thinking of buying the dell inspiron 15 7000 (model 7559) with 4k display.
However majority of my work is on MATLAB, OpenCV, etc. Will there be any scaling issues?

Solution
For a single display there are no scaling issues while on Windows 10 though there might be a scaling issue once you add multiple monitors with varying resolutions on the extended display's but that is in part from hardware makers not offering support via their drivers. You'll be fine with the unit you're interested in purchasing. One thing I might suggest is to focus on units that have Nvidia cards on board but you will see similar performance off of AMD based units. As of late Nvidia's drivers have been having an issue but reverting to their older drivers seems to resolve the issue.
